K-Connect

What is K-Connect?

K-Connect is the CCPD's database of career-related information for students. In K-Connect you will find:

  • relationship-based career development opportunities – externships, internships, campus jobs, and entry-level post-graduate jobs – included because the CCPD has a relationship with the employer (often an alumni connection);
  • access to thousands of international career opportunities through Going Global;
  • information on upcoming CCPD events, programs, employer interview schedules, and other exclusive opportunities for K students.

Why Should Students Complete a K-Connect Profile?

Your K-Connect profile is your entry point into this database and is required for access to the exclusive opportunities and information contained in K-Connect. Access to K-Connect will benefit you throughout your college career, from finding a campus job to applying for an externship, from uploading your résumé to landing that on-campus interview with a potential employer. 

Most of the data in your K-Connect profile is pre-populated from the College database. Our staff of career counselors uses information in your profile to customize their work with you, and we send relevant notifications of upcoming opportunities based on the contents of your profile.

What Does a Student's Profile Have to do with Campus Jobs?

Many campus employers use K-Connect to search for qualified and eligible student workers. Students wishing to be considered for on-campus employment should complete their profile as thoroughly as possible, especially the skills and interests sections. It is not necessary to submit a résumé through K-Connect to be considered for on-campus positions.

We invite all students, and especially those with work/study eligibility, to complete (and regularly update) their K-Connect profiles. Even if you have already confirmed an on-campus job, sharing up-to-date information about your skills and qualifications will put you in the running for future opportunities as more campus employers begin to use our database to search for qualified student employees.

Certain student employment opportunities are not currently filled through K-Connect. These include student leadership positions, as well as positions in facilities management, recycling, and catering. Please see the Campus Employment page of the CCPD website for more details.
