Career Assessments

Have you been trying to figure out what types of careers would be a good fit for your personality? The CCPD often uses the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI®) with students. If you are interested in more information about the MBTI, contact the CCPD.

Have you been trying to decide what major is the best for you? Visit with your Academic Advisor and try talking with a Departmental Student Advisor, who knows firsthand what it's like to be (for example) a Philosophy major or a Public Policy & Urban Affairs concentrator. Have you been trying to decide how to incorporate your major or liberal arts interests into a possible post-graduation job? Have you been trying to determine how to include your many different interests into your major or career? The CCPD offers the Strong Interest Inventory—a career assessment that aligns your interests with opportunities for education, jobs, and leisure activities. Anyone can take the Strong Interest Inventory. If you have asked yourself one of the three questions above, the SII would be a great place to begin exploring the possibilities.
