Interviewing and Networking

It is inevitable that at some point in your life you will be searching and applying for employment, and networking will be essential to your success. Connecting with those who can promote your qualifications and attributes to others will increase the likelihood of finding a position that is right for you. Once you find that position, it is incredibly important that you are able to speak about your qualifications and attributes. You can look great on paper, but if you are unable to "sell yourself" to a prospective employer with enthusiasm and confidence during an interview, landing a job will be challenging.

The Center for Career Development is here to help you with your networking and interviewing skills. You can download a PDF copy of our Interviewing and Networking Guide here. In addition to this guide, we host a Mock Interview Evening with Community Professionals each quarter, a Networking and Interviewing Professional Etiquette Workshop each quarter, and we conduct mock interviews in the office during scheduled appointments. Regardless of which option suites you best, come in and see us!
