The Biology & Chemistry Center (Dow Science 225) sponsors a variety of meetings and workshops in Dow seminar rooms for students enrolled in introductory chemistry and biology courses, and in organic chemistry. Educators recognize that problem-solving in groups strengthens and enriches students' understanding and mastery in these challenging courses. Workshop consultants are student leaders recommended by faculty who have demonstrated success in these courses and are eager to share their enthusiasm for science. Schedules are posted on Moodle and/or emailed to class lists. Students in chemistry classes participate in weekly discussion sessions with the Center's director, and may also make appointments for individual and small group consultations.
