The Center for International Programs (CIP) and the International Student Welcome Team are excited to welcome all of you to the U.S., to southwest Michigan, and to Kalamazoo College! We are so happy that you have chosen "K" to be your home!
In 2013, you comprise a total of 62 new international students - 27 visiting international students and 36 first-year degree-seeking students. Along with our 69 continuing degree seekers, you are an impressive group of 132 international students on campus for 2013-2014 academic year!
Our mission is to support, encourage, and celebrate your presence on campus. Our goal is to help all of you feel at home both at "K" and in the world.

|Your International Student Advisor, Ms. Angela Gross (a K’ 93 graduate) will be among the first people to greet you and will continue to be a primary resource for you throughout your time at K. The International Student Advisor coordinates your orientation program and assists you with personal, academic, and student visa-related matters. You have probably already heard from Angela via e-mail or telephone. Angela’s office is located in the Center for International Programs (CIP) in Dewing Hall.|
|Your International Program Assistant and Post-Baccalaureate Fellow, Ms. Idah Chungu is a K ’13 graduate and is from Zambia. Idah recently joined the CIP full-time after working as the International Student Peer Mentor for two years. Idah will be available to help you adjust and find your way at Kalamazoo College. Idah’s office is also in the CIP. She is available on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2pm – 4:30pm to help you with any of the following:Visa questions, Optional Practical Training (OPT), Academic Training (AT), Federal & State taxes,anything else!|
Ramon Rochestor, your International Student Peer Mentor, is a senior at K College, and is originally from Jamaica. Ramon will work in the CIP all year as the International Student Peer Mentor and will be a great resource to you. Ramon's Fall schedule is:
