MAKING RESERVATIONS

K COLLEGE FACULTY, STAFF AND STUDENTS

Kalamazoo College staff, faculty or student organization leaders may reserve the space using EMS.  Kalamazoo College students without access to EMS may request use of the space by emailing Jax Gardner, jax.gardner@kzoo.edu.

Classes scheduled by the registrar and events that the ACSJL initiates or programs where the ACSJL is a primary partner have priority in using the building.  Campus community members who are using the building space for events that do not involve the ACSJL staff must appoint an event manager and are solely responsible for arranging media, setting up the room, providing food and cleaning up. Members of the K College community who would like to request ACSJL co-sponsorship of an event, please fill out our Campus Support Form.

THE GREATER COMMUNITY

Members of the wider Kalamazoo community may request the use of the ACSJL building during regular building hours for gatherings and events related to social justice and social justice leadership.  Community members using the space are solely responsible for setting up the room, providing food and cleaning up and may need to purchase liability insurance. Due to space constraints, the building is not available for weekly meetings for community groups and entities.

To request ACSJL co-sponsorship of an event, community members should fill out our Community Support Form. For requests of only use of the ACSJL building, contact Jax Gardner

To have your local social justice event listed with the ACSJL, please see our Justice in Community page.

The ACSJL is unable to grant use of other spaces on campus to community members for events in which the center is not a partner. Requests to use other spaces on campus should be directed to the Facilities Coordinator at bookaroom@kzoo.edu or (269) 337-7047. We welcome requests to co-sponsor events at other off-campus sites. The ACSJL can co-sponsor, but is unable to partner on fundraising events.

PARKING INFORMATION

The parking area directly in front of the front entrance of the building is reserved as accessible parking spaces. Those who do not require accessible parking may park along the West side of Monroe Street (opposite side from ACSJL) and on both sides of Academy Street.
