How to Insert & Remove Links

To insert a link on your page:

  1. Edit the page you wish to add a link from.
  2. Go to your text editor and highlight the text you would like to be linked.
  3. Click the link icon, which will open the link menu:

  4. Select the type of link you would like to insert (existing item, web address, or e-mail address)
  5. Enter any additional information (such as selecting the page, pasting the web address, or entering an e-mail address) and click OK to insert it on your page.
  6. Click Save and Finish to submit your changes.

To remove a link from your page:

  1. Edit the page you wish to remove a link from.
  2. In the text editor, highlight the linked text you would like to be unlinked.
  3. Click the link icon, which will open the link menu.
  4. Click the Remove link button, which will remove the link and close the link menu:

  5. Click Save and Finish to submit your changes.

Link to: an existing item

This option allows you to link to other content in your Reason website, including:

  • Assets - Files and documents (like PDFs)
  • Events - Calender events announced on Web pages
  • News / Posts - Blog posts and news publications
  • Pages - Other Web pages within your Reason website

After selecting the type of content (Asset, Event, News / Posts, or Pages), choose the item from the dropdown menu:

For pages, choose the Anchor (if any) that the link should jump to.

    Link to: a web address

    This options allows you to type in (or copy/paste) a Web URL next to where it says "Destination web address." If you do link to a Web address, set the More Options to checkbox "Open in new browser window."

    Important: Make sure that the address includes the initial "http://" or the link will not work.

    Link to: an email address

    This option allows you to link e-mail addresses to text. Type or copy/paste the receiver's e-mail address next to where it says "Email address."

    As an example:
