The Raymond H. & Robert H. Borkenhagen Center for New Media Design (CNMD), located on the first floor of Upjohn Library Commons, supports Kalamazoo College faculty, staff and students in the creation of materials for course projects or other college-related activities, including multimedia presentations, posters, images, web pages, and other design needs. The hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm. Evening hours are Monday-Thursday, 7pm-9pm. 

Hardware and Software

The CNMD has seven computers (three PCs, four Macs).

There is a light table and a 10'x5' cutting table.

  • Epson Expression 11000XL Graphics Arts (scans up to A3+)
  • Fujitsu ScanSnap S1500 document scanners
DSLR cameras
  • A limited number of Canon EOS Rebel T5i cameras are available for students to check out.
  • The cameras can be checked for classroom projects and assignments. Student organizations may also check them out.
  • The cameras are not available to be checked out for personal, non-academic, use.
