Fire Historical and Cultural Arts Collaborative is a Michigan nonprofit corporation formed to foster and develop an appreciation for economic and cultural development through history, poetry, theatre, comedy and the performing, visual, culinary and eco-friendly arts. Fire works with youth and emerging cultural producers in these fields so they can develop their strengths and talents. 

Fire and the Loft provide unique settings for performance and slam poetry, live music, live theater,  improv comedy, day and overnight retreats, and art exhibits that are a part of Kalamazoo's Art Hop, inside the 1903 Portage Street Fire Station. Fire currently hosts weekly, bi-weekly and monthly music, visual art, poetry and relaxation events.
