Program Overview
Eligibility
Unless otherwise indicated, programs are open on a walk-in basis at no charge to faculty, staff and retirees of the College, along with their spouses and domestic partners. Children may participate in age appropriate activities when accompanied by a parent.
The Wellness Room
- 2 treadmills
- 2 ellipticals
- hybrid bike
- Multi-station weight machine
- dumbbell rack (5# to 50#) and 2 adjustable benches
- mat area
- strength tubing, stability balls and balance equipment
- reading area with lending library
- locker room/showers (please bring your own towel, lock provided)
Polar BodyAge Wellness Assessment System
A state of the art, computerized system allowing measurement of heart rate and blood pressure, weight and body composition, flexibility, strength and aerobic capacity.Also assesses overall wellness via a questionnaire, and has meal and exercise planning capability. Translates this data into a "body age" and gives practical recommendations on how to make it even better. An invaluable tool for structuring your program to achieve optimal benefit and tracking progress over time. Requires a private appointment with Ken, lasting approximately one hour. Open to benefits eligible faculty and staff, and their spouses/domestic partners.

Smoking Cessation
Quitline A telephonic outreach program through the American Cancer Society
Quit the Nic A telephonic outreach program available to enrollees of Blue Cross/Blue Shield.
Pilates, Yoga, and Tai Chi (please see schedule and descriptions on the left)
Family Swim - Saturdays 3-5 pm in the Natatorium
Noon Walk Program - meets Monday through Friday in front of Markin. A guided, measured campus area walk for all fitness levels.
Weight Training 101 - This is not a workout, but an instructional class to learn optimal technique for optimal benefit. Drop in, but limited to 10 people. Mondays 11-12 noon and Tuesdays 1-2 pm, starting Monday Feb. 18th.
Monthly Seminars (dates and times to be announced)
Better Balance This class will help you to be more sure footed and teach you how to develop stronger, more stable ankles and hips.
Back to Health This class will teach you how to develop a stronger, more stable core and better posture.
