Community Partners

Kalamazoo Loaves and Fishes:  The food pantry in Kalamazoo has partnered with Kalamazoo College students in the past to help register people for food stamps.  

Campus Beet:  A local food, student run cafe initiative at Western Michigan University.  We hope to use this project as something we can aspire in our own community and we support the initiative in any way we can. 

People's Food Co-Op:  The food cooperative in Kalamazoo that serves the K College community as a food resource.  

Fair Food Matters:  An organization that facilitiates the sharing of information about the local food system of Kalamazoo and works to educate our community about feeding ourselves in the most nutritious way. 

Farm Worker Legal Services:  A statewide organization that provides free legal services and advice to farm workers throughout Michigan. 

The Kalamazoo College Arcus Center for Social Justice Leadership:  An organization on campus, partnering with Farms to K to increase the dialogue about food justice in the campus community and how a local food purchasing policy can improve the food shed of the greater Kalamazoo Community.
