The Office of Financial Aid firmly believes that no student should borrow more than he/she needs. Please use our billing calculator and off-campus budget worksheet when determining how much you need to borrow. Our staff is always ready to assist you with choices about borrowing for college costs. There are no commercial lenders involved in the federal loan programs and all application processes are administered through the college.

  • Federal Student Loans

There is currently one Federal student loan program for which the FAFSA is the application: The Direct Loan. Under the Direct Loan, there is both a subsidized and unsubsidized Direct Loan.
  • Managing Your Student Loans

Links to everything you need to manage your student loans: Loan Adjustment Form, Promissory Notes, Entrance and Exit counseling, and more.
  • Federal Loan Servicers

Contact information for all Federal Loan Service Centers as well as information on how to find out who your servicer is.
  • Parent PLUS Loan

The Parent PLUS Loan is designed to be used by the parents of dependent students. Eligibility for this loan program is not based on financial need and the loans are processed through the Direct Loan Program. Parents who are borrowing under the Parent PLUS loan program for the first time will be required to complete an electronic Master Promissory Note.
  • Private Loans

When federal loans and other aid do not cover your cost of education, external or private educational loans are available. Our historical Lender List, hosted by ELMSelect, is intended to be a starting point as students and parents begin their lender search.
