Free Access to NYTimes.com

Students, Faculty, Staff and Emeriti:

We are pleased to announce that, due to a generous, anonymous benefactor, we are able to provide access to NYTimes.com to all Kalamazoo College students, faculty and staff (and emeriti with kzoo.edu emails). This access should be available for about the next two years under the gift. After that, as it does regularly with all resources, the Library will review access and use to determine whether the access should be continued.

Each user sets up their own account verified by the campus email domain, whereby NYTimes.com + NYT Smartphone Apps is authenticated at time of registration only at www.NYTimes.com/Pass. The username email must be the K College email address. Once registered, the user may access NYTimes.com website and any NYT Smartphone App from any location using the college email they provided as their username, then log into NYTimes.com from your computer, smartphone or iPad's web browser, on campus or off campus, using the credentials entered.

Here is a link for a video that will help to walk new registered users through the campus WiFi Group Pass process: http://youtu.be/jWtbxBik4IY.

For faculty, this opens the New York Times as a common and freely available resource for use in your classes.

Please use the link www.NYTimes.com/Pass to subscribe. If you have any questions or difficulties with account setup, please contact Leslie Burke, Collection Development & Digital Integration Librarian.
