Food Recovery Network

The Kalamazoo College chapter of Food Recovery Network (FRN) works with the Mary Jane Underwood Stryker Center for Civic Engagement to reduce food waste and to serve the homeless population in the Kalamazoo community. They collect excess food from the cafeteria and deliver it to the homeless shelters that they partner with. They aim to build relational bridges between the student body, the college’s staff, and the community through their work by staying committed to compassionate, long-term service. The Food Recovery Network strives to maintain a respectful and accepting atmosphere within their group as well as in the communities they serve.
